Founded by Colleen Te Whata in 2007, Flames Basketball Club was established with a vision of creating a welcoming, inclusive, and family-focused basketball community where every player has the opportunity to learn, develop, and thrive. What began as a small club with a passion for the game has grown into a respected community club dedicated to developing players both on and off the court.
Based in Wyndham, Victoria, Flames provides boys and girls of all ages and skill levels with the opportunity to learn, compete, and enjoy the game of basketball in a positive and supportive environment. Whether a player is stepping onto the court for the very first time or striving to reach the next level, our focus is on helping every individual grow as both an athlete and a person.
We believe success isn't measured solely by wins and championships. While we always encourage players to compete with determination, we place equal importance on sportsmanship, respect, resilience, teamwork, and personal growth. Our experienced coaches are committed to teaching strong basketball fundamentals while building confidence, leadership, and lifelong values.
